Meet Your Yoga Teachers

Dee (SPACE owner & founder)
I have a passion for Yin yoga: the deep stretching, the releasing, calming and meditative aspects all developing greater ease in the physical, mental and emotional bodies.
I have trained with Yin teacher Jo Phee and follow the principles of functional movement. This gives people the best chance of finding ease in their bodies and calming the mind which leads to the deeper, more subtle aspects of the yoga experience.
I teach the majority of the classes at SPACE but I also have a great support team, some of whom teach weekly classes and cover while I'm away.
My favourite yoga pose: Sleeping swan – it was the first ever Yin pose I did whilst listening to the poem Wild Geese. Life has never been the same since!

Celine
I love the versatility of yoga and the freedom brought by linking breath to movement. It's also an opportunity to explore how we apply this on and off the mat too.
I'm a French national from the Alps. I've always been very active and close to nature. I became a yoga teacher in 2013 in Bali after having practised extensively for five years beforehand. Since then I've undertaken other trainings to gain my 500h YTT.
I'm a very caring teacher. My aim is to bring my students to love their practice and for them to leave my class with a sense of wellbeing. I teach creative sequences and offer options to suit and respect everyone. I specialise in Vinyasa flow.
My favourite yoga pose: Tree pose (Vrikshasana) – a lovely blend of balance, playfulness and finding your roots.

Ella
I love how multifaceted yoga is. It can provide a space to retreat to whenever I need an emotional reset as well as a space to play and explore the capabilities of my body without judgement.
I picked up yoga just before I started University, when I was feeling a little lost. This was eight years ago and I've been hooked ever since. I completed my 200 hours at the start of 2021 with East + West Yoga, specialising in vinyasa.
In my classes you can expect dynamic and creative flows. I love to incorporate sequences that flow like a dance, and I encourage people to move intuitively in whatever way feels good for their body. I combine heat in my classes with moments of stillness, where we reconnect to the breath and revisit an intention or theme that was set at the beginning.
My favourite yoga pose: It would have to be dancer pose. I spent most of my childhood dancing so I love to explore poses that make me feel graceful. Dancer pose does so many things – heart opening, hip opening, hamstring strengthening and a great way to work on your balance!

Hebe
I love the playfulness of yoga, creating shapes with the body and dedicating time to consistently connect more deeply with myself.
I certified as a yoga teacher in 2023, specialising in Hatha and Vinyasa in the mountains of Nepal. Previous to my training I practised yoga for eight years. In my classes you can expect a mix of traditional and creative sequencing, with equal parts strength and flexibility.
I'm co-hosting the Sri Lanka retreat with Dee and I also manage the SPACE social media channels.
My favourite yoga pose: Wild thing! It's playful, expansive and strong.

Nicole
After several years of building a deep self-practice, I followed my heart to Patnem, South Goa. Here, I completed my 200 YTTC in Ashtanga and Vinyasa at Kranti Yoga, one of the oldest residential TTC schools in India.
It was at the same school that I furthered my learning in meditation and pranayama. I've since become accredited in Yin and pre- & postnatal yoga, and I'm currently working towards teaching children and teens.
As my go-by name 'Reset Yoga' may suggest, I offer a gentle embrace for my students to reset and delve inwards on a journey of self-discovery, through an all-encompassing practice that extends far beyond asana. In turn, I hope my students begin to incorporate the principles of yoga taught on the mat into their daily lives, creating a life that’s freer, happier and healthier.
My favourite yoga pose: Lizard pose.

Onnee
I've practised and loved yoga for many years and am so delighted to share my passion by teaching at the beautiful SPACE studio.
For me, yoga is all about slowing down and looking inwards, focusing on breath and movement to relax the body, the mind and connect to self. As well as releasing tension from the body with strong but satisfying stretches.
I certified as a yoga teacher in January 2024 in the birthplace of yoga, Rishikesh in India. I completed my training in Hatha and Ashtanga, though I've practised and studied many types of yoga from vinyasa flow to Kundalini to Yin.
In my classes you can expect a mix of Yin and yang, focusing on deep stretches, meditation and occasionally some pranayama (breathwork). I use traditional and creative sequences to increase flexibility and strength.
My favourite yoga pose: Happy baby!

Wendy
I developed a passion for yoga and became a teacher many years ago, in 2013, qualifying originally as a Limitless yoga teacher and then as a children’s yoga teacher.
Since then, my teaching style and training has continued to develop and I now teach a variety of classes, specialising in adapted yoga for cancer and menopause, as well as functional sport, flow and restorative practices that link mind, body and breath.
In addition to my skills as a yoga teacher, I'm also a qualified Health & Cancer Coach. So, as a health practitioner, I bring a whole-person approach to my teaching with emphasis on overall holistic wellbeing.
All my classes take place in a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment and I’ll support, encourage and guide you during your practice, in a way that works best for you.
My favourite yoga pose: Supported legs up the wall, moving into shavasana. I love the sense of lightness this supported inversion brings, especially if I’ve been on my legs all day, and then moving into relaxation to give my body time to absorb the benefits – bliss!

Amy
With more than 15 years of combined experience as a Speech & Language Therapist, Yoga Teacher & Sound Therapist, I’ve guided and supported thousands of people with their health and wellbeing. Soundology’s in-person yoga & sound baths alone have supported hundreds of individuals to access relaxation and rest.
I’m excited to share the power of sound, meditation and yoga to support you to slow down, connect with your needs and prioritise your wellbeing; incorporating easy to follow relaxation techniques that you can easily use in your daily life.
"If you find it difficult to switch off a busy mind, release tension from your body or find regular time for yourself, let me be your guiding support." – Amy
